Emaze

I was "Emazed" by the presentation software and how quickly my students caught onto it.
They are currently using their research information from the Roanake Islands and the Lost Colony.  They went under the tab of Education and picked one of the 4 newspaper presentations. 
We discussed why one of them was not the best one to use.

 I am going back this week to finish up in small groups.  I am looking forward to seeing their finished projects.  I will post some links to their presentations when they are done.  But for now, check out the simple directions on how to set up your own account and how to get started.

Well, I went back and we finished up.  The kids did a really great job.

I also used this presentation software with another 4th grade class.  We used it with Native American Project.  They turned out fabulous.  The children loved using something new and when we were finished they emailed their final product to their teacher for the teacher and their classmates to view.  

I was told by my county today I needed to be careful because there might be inappropriate content on there.  But I have learned with my younger students that if I guide them and tell them where they are supposed to go that is where they go.  My students do not want to lose their internet priviledges and fun time with me.  They know that I will close down their accounts and restrict their Internet access. 
My students like to have fun, do interesting things but they also under that there are consequences for breaking the rules.
